Convince your principal to get Hāpara for your school
Principals and school leaders get a lot of requests from faculty and staff to purchase different tech tools. With all of the responsibilities a school administrator has to manage, your request can sometimes get lost in the shuffle or disregarded if you do not make a strong enough case for it. That’s why we’re sharing this short guide to help you convince your principal to buy Hāpara for your school.

How to convince your principal step by step:
- State the problem. What is your school’s problem and how does it negatively affect student outcomes? For example, “Students aren’t finishing their assignments in class because they are getting distracted by websites that have nothing to do with the learning task. If we could just keep them on the sites that they need for learning it would help quiet all of the digital noise that is distracting them.”
- Propose a solution to the problem and explain specifically how the solution solves the problem. For example, “Screen monitoring software will ensure that teachers have visibility into what learners are doing during digital learning time, and be able to prepare appropriate interventions students are engaged in off-task behavior.”
- Provide evidence. Give examples of how Hāpara has helped other schools like yours to solve the problem at hand. Browse our customer stories to find one similar to your school. Or, if you’ve used Hāpara at another school, share your personal experience.
- Explain why Hāpara is the best fit for your school. You can do this by tying your school’s mission and goals to Hāpara’s values. For example, Hāpara believes in strengthening connections with learners to improve collaboration and teamwork in the classroom.
